A fire spewing dragon that i drew 3 years ago... scanned it, put it in photoshop, cleaned it up a bit, and applied a filter (dont remember which ), then i wrote dragon in cool letter hahah I would like feedback on this since i know i made a few errors.... for example where the dragon is spewing fire, i messed up mouth a bit because i was still learning layers... i need to rescan the picture and try again lets see... i think i did ok with the wing closest to the foreground, i seperated it and put it in its own layer and applied a drop shadow... hmmm.. i guess you be the judge... let me know what you think... original scan is posted in my scraps
Wing layers look pretty cool (with drop shadows ) - yeah you've done something odd to the fire layer.. why not create a blank layer.. create the fire effect however you tried and rotate near the mouth (that might be a bit confusing.. hmm)
The filter and quality of the scan add to the detail.. it looks nicely drawn and I like it
I don't think it would be as easy to get the same quality when you draw it yourself.. but draw something in photoshop with your new Wacom and play with it there. Layer come in very handy

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
